Abstract
The chapter approaches AI literacy through the relationships among information production, verification, critical judgment and responsible use in interactions with generative models. A bibliometric analysis of 4,582 unique publications retrieved from Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus for 2016–2026 maps publication and citation trends, keyword co-occurrence, co-citation networks, country contributions and publication venues. The findings show that the rapidly expanding post-2023 literature concentrates on students, teachers, curricula and higher education, while young people’s everyday platform experiences, out-of-school uses and platform accountability remain less visible. Connecting these gaps with recent cases and regulatory frameworks, the chapter proposes an applied framework centred on age-sensitive education, accessible reporting and remedy, transparent platform data and independent oversight.
